Have you heard about the new South Park and the controversy is has stirred up, but don't know exactly what happened? I'll explain it to you! South Park, being as successful as it has been over the past ten years, recently aired their much publicized 200th episode which they broke into a two part show. In it, they brought back every controversial character or storyline they had ever had. One of them was depicting the Muslin prophet Muhammad and then depicting him in a bear costume. Well Comedy Central went ahead and censored the image of Muhammad and the saying of his name, but not the bear suit depiction. This led to a radical Muslim from the site revolutionmuslim.com to say ""South Park" co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone would end up like Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh". If you have never heard the Theo van Gogh story, you should. Gogh was filming a movie about the ill treatment and violence towards women in Muslim countries, when he was murdered for his work. Oh. That really just makes me sick. Here in America we can do whatever we want, and if we want to show you prophet,we're going to show it. I understand that it might be offensive, but it's not like South Park only picks on Muslims. In the same episode, they taunt Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Tom Cruise, Barbra Streisand, Gingers, and a whole list of other things and people. I guess we should be proud to live in America where we can do and say whatever we want. Hopefully Trey Parker and Matt Stone can stay out of the way of these crazy religious groups and can continue giving us that great material that we all love, South Park.
